Services

  • Services Provided by Mercapesca.net

    Mercapesca.net is a site providing services to wholesale fish markets and the fishing sector. These services are grouped into free services, which are offered to all registered users, and specific services for professional users in the fishing sector.
    For further information on the different registration levels, see the Products and Services Table .
    Currently, the automated registration from the site provides access to free services only.
    Those users who would like to obtain a professional user account should contact the Sales and Marketing Department at:

  • Unable to Access a Service from Mercapesca.net?

    If you cannot access a service from Mercapesca.net, check if you logged in using your user account.
    Another reason could be that the user account session has been inactive for more than 20 minutes. Therefore, and for security reasons, you will be required to enter your username and password once again.
    In addition, if you delete the cookies, you will have to log into your user’s account again.
    If, after logging into your account, you are still denied access to a service, your registration level may be lower than that required for the service. For further information, see the Products and Services Table .

User Registration

  • How to Register

    In order to obtain a free user account in Mercapesca.net you should:
    • Read and accept the site terms of use.
    • Complete the form with basic information, which will be added to your “profile”.
      Your username for the site will be the e-mail address you provided and through which you will receive an account activation e-mail.
    • The register form has verification and compulsory fields for the register process. In case you can´t finish the registration process, review the messages appearing over the fields causing the problem.
    • Once you’ve completed the form, the Sales and Marketing Team of Mercapesca.net will verify and process all the data you provided. Once they’ve finished, you will receive an e-mail containing a link to a web page which you should visit within 7 days in order to activate your account.
      Once this period is finished, and if you have not activated your account, your data will be deleted from our database and you will have to complete the whole registration process once again.
    • When activating your user account, you will have to choose the password you want to assign to your user account. In case you may forget said password, you will be asked a security question to which you are the only one who knows the answer, and which will be used to provide you with a new password in case you have forgotten the other one.
  • Your Username Is Your E-Mail Address

    The e-mail address provided in the registration form always corresponds to the username for the Mercapesca.net account.
    Said e-mail is used both to activate your Mercapesca.net account and to perform actions related to your account, such as obtaining a new password or receiving the notices you selected during the registration process.
  • What You Can Do Once You Have Registered

    Once you have obtained your user account through the free registration process, you will have access to the services provided for this level, which are detailed in the Products and Services Table .
    If you would like to access the services provided for professional users in the sector, contact our Sales and Marketing Department by e-mail to infomercapesca.net. You can do this just by going to the "Contact" section.

Your User Account

  • Entering Your User Account

    Once you have completed the user registration process, you are given a username and a password. You can enter your account from
    • site page heading
    • the form appearing when trying to access a service restricted to registered users
    If, after entering your username and password, you cannot access your account, check if your browser is set to enable cookies since Mercapesca.net uses said technology to protect users’ access. For further information, go to "Help" => "Navigation""
  • Logging Out

    We advise you to log out of your account each time you leave your computer in order to avoid manipulations of your user account by third parties.
    You can do so by pressing the “Close account” button in the site heading, or from the “Close account” menu button.
  • Account Closing Due to Inactivity

    For the purpose of providing you with higher security for your data, an open user account is automatically closed after some minutes of inactivity. As a result, the user will have to enter his/her username and password once again in order to continue surfing with his/her access level
  • Changes to the User Account Data

    Users can view the data stored in their profile by going to "My account" => "My profile" , and exercise their rights to correct, cancel and reject the use of their data using the form appearing in said section.
    They can also exercise said rights by sending an e-mail to registermercapesca.net or a letter to:

  • Changing Your Access Mode

    The site’s content and the services offered vary according to the user’s access mode .
    If you are not registered, you will be able to specify the desired access mode in the registration form .
    If you are already registered and you want to change the access mode, you can do it from "My account" => "Access modes"
  • Changes to the Company Data in the Professionals’ Directory

    Registered users can add their company to the Professionals’ directory. If afterwards they wish to modify said company’s data, they may complete a form accessible from the "My account" menu.
  • E- mail Notices Setting

    Registered users receive, in the e-mail account provided for their user account, those notices set during the registration process:
    • Maintenance and modification notices and news regarding the site performance.
    • Commercial information about site services related to fisheries.
    • Information on other products and services of the Autec group.
    To modify your notices settings, change your preferences in "My account" => "My profile" => "Configure Mercapesca.net newsletters"
  • Changing Your Password

    If you want to change the password of your user account, and if you have not forgotten your current password, you can do so by entering your account in the "My account" => "My profile" => "Change your Mercapesca.net current password account" section. You will be provided with a form in which you should enter your current password to check your identity, and the new password you want to use.
  • Changing the Security Question for a New Password

    The security question and the answer you provide will be the key elements required to provide you with a new password, in case you forget it.
    You can modify the question and the answer in the "My account" => "My profile" => "Change your security question".
  • Forgot your password?

    If you have forgotten your user account password,
    • From the entry form in the "My account" section, go to the "Have you forgotten your password?" link
    • In the form provided, enter your username (the e-mail address related to Mercapesca.net) and answer the secret question you provided.
    • If you are correctly identified with the data provided, you will be sent an e-mail containing a link to a web page in which you will be able to change your password.
    • Your old password remains active until you change it.
  • Canceling Your Account

    To cancel your Mercapesca.net user account, go to "My account" => "My profile" => "Remove this user account" while you are in your user account. After entering your password to check your identity, our Marketing and Sales Department will take the necessary measures to eliminate you from our database.

  • Suggestions

    Once users have entered their account, they will be able to see a short form at the bottom of the page from which they may send us proposals or suggestions to improve the site.
